With the exhibition “Motility.”, the beginning of spring not only causes an explosion of movement in nature, but has also appeared to have brought mobility to the pavilion with the works of Christophe Denys, Benoît Félix, Philippe Timmermans and Tamara Van San.
The word “motility” is primarily a term derived from biology, referring to the ability of organisms to spontaneously convert energy into labour. The word therefore can rightly be used to express the notion that both the artist and the observer have the ability to move freely and actively around the exhibition.
Met de tentoonstelling “Motility.”, lijkt de lente niet alleen voor een explosie te zorgen in de natuur, maar ook beweeglijkheid te brengen in het paviljoen met werk van Christophe Denys, Benoît Félix, Philippe Timmermans en Tamara Van San.
Het woord “motility” is in de eerste plaats een term uit de biologie, waarbij verwezen wordt naar het vermogen van organismen om op eigen kracht energie om te zetten in arbeid. Het woord drukt dus eigenlijk uit dat zowel de kunstenaar als de toeschouwer het vermogen heeft om spontaan en actief te bewegen in de tentoonstelling.
