De tentoonstelling from the inside out verbindt de nabije omgeving, de stedelijke context en uitgestrekte landschappen met de wonderlijke verbeeldingskracht van de mens. Steeds duidelijker blijkt hoe er gezocht wordt naar narratieve alternatieven en vernieuwende denk- en maakprocessen. De werken van deze kunstenaars zijn dan ook een uiting van deze zoektocht: waar Bram Van Breda vanuit recuperatiemateriaal impressies verbeeldt in textiele materie, onderzoekt Michaël de Kok vanuit zijn verwondering de gelaagdheden van het hedendaagse landschapsbeeld.

It is becoming increasingly clear how narrative alternatives and innovative thinking and creation processes are being sought. The works of these artists are therefore an expression of this search: where Bram Van Breda depicts impressions in textile matter from reclaimed materials, Michaël de Kok explores the layers of contemporary landscape imagery from his own wonderment.
